Don't get me wrong, I love Albion and this one of the reasons too, anyways why did they make this? Did alot of people complain about losing their accounts by scams or smth? Or was it random

Why we made this? Good question. Bunch of reasons. Well, seven of them. But in broader terms:
1) Awareness - every account that falls for a phishing scam is one too many. We want to prevent those.
2) Education - you’d be flabbergasted how many people claim they didn’t know RMT was forbidden. Or that using that simple macro they programmed themselves to farm for hours in the same spot is really not okay.
3) Warning - we want to make it very clear and present in everyone’s mind that we will take action if people step outside the rules.
And while we were at it, we added all the scenarios that could make people lose their account either to a ban, or some phisher/scammer taking it away from them. It’s something that we could run pretty much any time, but today was just “the day”.
If we prevented one person from losing their account in some way, I’d already consider that a win.
P.S. 4) Entertainment - Going by your, and some other people’s comments, that worked. We also had fun coming up with that. … and now people are talking about it.
