As some others here have already commented, we will not be adding more (gameplay) content to Anno 1800, especially not full regions (which are A LOT of effort) as we're basically "done" with the game.

However, there is the "New Horizons" mod in the making which we're also very excited to see more of. Last post by Taubenangriff was this one here, I believe: https://www.reddit.com/r/anno/comments/10qbx9w/upcoming\_mod\_new\_horizons\_the\_gongren/

Nice to see that kind of recognition for individual mods too from you guys! I appreciate how open you are to modding, even adding the modloader into the basefiles. I guess that would count as gameplay content and therefore no, but is there any hope we could get a map editor to make our own maps in 1800?

No plans to create something like this, no. We ourselves are using a mix of different tools to design, create and populate our maps (and some of them are licensed software, not tools developed by us) - there isn't that one editor that already exists and can just be made public.

We're aware this is a subject dear to the hearts to parts of our playerbase, but the efforts to potentially create something like that are unfortunately too high, when we need our resources for other things, shifting them away from 1800.
