As people continue to discover Anthem, we expect a deluge of topics that solely ask questions and doesn't allow much leeway for discussion or speculation. To prevent a number of similar posts, we'd like for y'all to ask your simple questions here. That way, other people can chime in with a response. You can be as general or as specific as you'd like. Also, check the FAQ or previous megathreads to see if it's already been answered. You can also try asking on our Discord server in #anthem.

Just be aware that certain people, like BioWare developers, may not be able to answer your question in detail, if at all, due to internal constraints. Please do not ping any BioWare developers just for your comment. Thank you.

Do we know anything more about enemy variety? There was a nice amount in the demo, but is that it or are there heaps more in the full game?

Are there more types of titan and at her major monsters to fight?

There's definitely a couple more in the full game, I personally didn't spot some from the CES 2019 trailer for example.

Is this game worth playing as someone who likely end up playin it alone. I have a good amount of experience playing Destiny(Destiny after the Taken King came out, and Destiny 2 for the first 9 months but wasnt impressed so havent play it since despite friends wanting me to get forsaken.)

You can absolutely play the game on your own if you want, although the mantra is Strong Alone, Stronger Together. If you run into trouble, someone will be there to help if you absolutely need it. A few endgame portions may be really difficult to complete solo though. Tackle the world at your own pace :D

Pressing C key should do the trick, here's a full list of keyboard commands for your Javelin.

I have played in the VIP demo but will not be able to play in the next demo, and I going to miss out on any benefits for my main character when the game goes live? I played every day the vip demo was live and did all content in it.

No, you're not going to miss out on anything as far as I am aware. Aside from extra training in your preferred Javelin, Freelancer!

Interceptor was fun, but at some point I felt like I was doing something wrong. But I should be combo wing or something, instead of just mashing Y

Play the game however you'd like, other Freelancers with other Javelins are often needed to set up combos - You can do them yourself but that's additional work too, I think once people have begun learning the intricacies then you'll see that happening more and more. Demo, probably not - people are just trying to figure things out and not kill Grabbits.

Was thinking of getting this for PC but don't want to have to install some front end just to play the game. Is that going to be required to play on PC?

Thank you

Oh ya...If I download the trial will I have to redownload the full game on release?

If you're meaning the likes of Origin when you say front end, then yes, you will need to install Origin in order to play Anthem on PC.

Hello Totalfps, Do you know if it is possible to customize button mappings on PS4, to what extent and specifically rebind L/R2 with L/R1?

Will try and look into this further for an updated answer, although I am fairly sure that there won't be custom button mapping, if it helps - I believe there are alternate presets available that move the buttons around a little. Will try get a definitive response soon.

What is the default button mapping like?

What level of customization do you have?

Can you rebind Aim & Fire to L1 R1?

Just shed a little light on this here and you can find the default layout for the PlayStation 4 controller here.

Hey, I played the shit out of the closed demo but I would love to try out the Interceptor, I just don't want to open the demo again just to realize I'm still level 15 with Storm being my chosen Javelin.

Sorry if this question has been answered before.

Thanks.

Due to the issues that we had within the VIP Demo, all participants from the VIP Demo will be able to use all four Javelins in the Open Demo.

Can you disable ALL of the HUD?

Including damage numbers and enemy health bars and red icon above their heads?

I believe you can, although not fully - I think some things such as crosshair might remain.

Not sure if this is the best place to ask this but, here I am. My friend got this on Xbox and is starting to wish he got it for PC. Is it possible to call someone and have his pre-order switched to a PC download?

Quite the predicament, although it should still be able to resolved with enough patience.

If your friend had purchased it via the Xbox store or via Xbox.com he can try go into his order history here and look for Anthem and cancel it. If he cannot do that, he should try and get in touch with Xbox support via the "Get Order Help" link that you would see on that order page.

This is me guessing that it is via Xbox directly though, but ideally as the game is still in its preorder phase you can cancel it and buy it elsewhere. Best of luck to your friend!

If I pre ordered the game thru gamestop will I still be able to play early thru EA Access?

You would need an EA Access membership in order to use the Play First Trial of 10 hours of Anthem close to launch. Preordering through GameStop is an entirely separate entity and as such, doesn't affect it :)

Is this for Xbox community? When can we play early?

If you have EA Access on the Xbox, yes you'll be able to play Anthem on the 15th Feb for a maximum of 10 hours. The progress you had made in that time will be waiting for you once the game launches on Feb 22nd.

Is freeplay limited to four players?

Yes, Freeplay is currently 4 players max, however if you're on your own it is possible to come across other players and join up with them. If you're seeking more players to hang out with there's also the recently revealed Launch Bay which will be a social hub for upto 16 players.

it’s a demo of the full release 🤷🏼‍♂️ Everyone who downvoted this can suck my dick lmao 😂

It's a taste of the overall experience that you can expect to have within Anthem, please keep in mind that this build is outdated by a month or so and as such the likes of balancing, economy and more has been altered in the run up to launch.
