If you guessed TRUE, you are... incorrect! 😱 Some monsters were depicted as benign in the Carta Marina, like the Ichthyocentaur, whose presence may have suggested peaceful waters. I am surprised! I thought for sure you all had this one. The correct answer is B—Assassin bugs! Like scorpions, they were also housed in terracotta vases to be thrown at enemy soldiers. And even after they were expired, they were often ground up into poison... 💀
