Don't get me wrong, i love this game so much and i'm so hyped for season 3, but the fact that as a colorblind i can never pick up a golden weapon or a digital threat is really heartbreaking.

Before season 2 i had no problem playing with digital threat, in fact it was my favorite sight, nowadays i can never pick it up since they changed how it works with the launch of season 2.

Please respawn, i've commented on a few posts about this and other colorblinds also commented the same thing: digital threat is not usable if you are colorblind.

No, the colorblind mode doesn't help. It may help with digital threat alone but everything else that comes with any of the colorblind options makes it way worse than before. I'd rather not use digital threat than have to deal with the other changes it bring.

A good way that would help everyone, not just colorblinds, is to let us choose the colors we see the enemies with digital threat and while we are at it, let us choose our crosshair's color too. It would be awesome <3

Edit: Thanks for everyone that upvoted for visibility. The post got way further than i thought it would be.Also forgive me if my english wasn't as clear as i intentioned, english is my second language.

Edit 2: I tried awnsering every comment and i'm exhausted, lol. I think i never typed in english so much in my life.

Well, the point of this post was to let Respawn know colorblinds had issues with the game, and thanks to everyone that comment and upvoted, i was let know that whenever they take a look at the colorblind mode again, they are going to take a look at this post.

Now i'll enjoy some Apex because the hype for season 3 is real!!!

Thank you everyone! it means a lot!

Thanks for the feedback. If yourself and other colorblind players are willing to provide feedback/direction, I can make adjustments to the current colors for a patch in the near future. I'm including a link that details the current base colors that we use. If you want to suggest adjustments, I'll see what I can do. I would only ask that anyone providing feedback only do so for the columns that match their own particular type of colorblindness. Anyway, here's the image:

Thank you. It warms my heart that not only it was noticed by our beloved devs but it was also something that you are willing to try to improve.
It may be a bit long but here goes my feedback:

As it was mentioned on this post, colorblindness is a bit confusing. People that are not colorblind have issues with some colors. Colorblinds have issues with one or more type of colorblindness.

I have been told that i had Protanopia, which is basically problems with green-brown-red. This is the most usual type of colorblindness and among all the people that are Protanopia, some have issues with green-brown, others with brown-red, and so on. This brings the question as to how can a Protanopia option be useful to everyone that has Protanopia if they don't have the same issue?
I myself have issues with green-brown-red, but i also have problems with pink-blue-purple(this is why i struggle with the protanopia option, when i choose that setting blue-purple become way more similar than it already is).
So for me specifically no option would ever work(i'm just using me as an example as to how colorblindness can be complex).

So if changing the lvl 2 and lvl 3 colors would fix it for me, it would probably have the oposite effect on another colorblind that has been told he had Protanopia as well and do not have issues with pink-purple-blue like me.

What many in this post commented and said that would be the BEST way to improve the colorblind mode, is to allow us to choose the colors we want for each individual tier of item.
This would be the ideal way of letting everyone play the game as confortable with the colors as they can. But i do not believe it is that simple. This implys so much. So much could be done with this and i do not know if it could be used to gain an advantage(though i would love it to happen).

Now here is my suggestion: Let us choose the brightness of a color. If i was able to choose lvl 2 to be darker or brighter than lvl 3, even if it wasn't much, it would make it much more noticeable. That way we would not deviate so much from the original color and we would still be able to find a color that suits our needs. Not just colorblind needs(there were many non-colorblind that said that they have issues with lvl 2 and lvl 3 colors too).

And here is something that was mentioned over and over, not just by colorblinds:
Let us choose our crosshair color. Non-colorblinds said on this exact post that they play with protanopia option because noticing pigs and their crosshair was MUCH easier and besides, this is a feature that MOST FPS games have and would be very welcomed by the whole community. Colorblinds would benefit so much from this, I have to literally know the center of the sight that i am using in order to hit my shots, because depending on where i am on the map, i am not able to see the dot in the middle(this was also something that was commented alot).

Again, everyone, including non-colorblinds said that they simply cannot play bloodhound because their ult is simply impossible to use. I love Bloodhound but i can never play it because it is simply impossible to play with their ult(though i'd love it).

And awhile we are at it, i dream of using a golden weapon or digital threat as i mentioned on the original post. Simply let us choose the color we see our enemies with the digital threat. It is something that anyone can do at the moment and i believe it is not something that would have a huge impact to the point where this decision should be reversed.

Thank you so much for your attention and i hope i was clear enough and maybe not too long(lol i know i was).

Cheers!

Thanks for the input. I agree that the BEST way would be to allow customization, but the scope of what I'm looking for here is adjustments to what currently exists. Larger scale features like full customization won't happen in the short term; they require work from multiple departments, they must be prioritized vs. all existing scheduled work, etc... I'm capable of improving the colors that are already there and getting those changes into players hands in the short term, and I'd like to do so. Unfortunately, I'm not colorblind myself, and the folks here that are seem to be OK with what is there.
