The menu freezes after 20 seconds

Hi everyone,

After the latest Apex Legends update, the game lets me into the menu, everything works fine, but only for exactly 20 seconds. After that, the game freezes. More precisely, I can't do anything in the menu, even the animations on the buttons don't respond; I'm basically looking at a frozen screen. The task manager doesn't indicate that there's a problem with the game, but I still can't do anything.
