Gifting from a new player (friend)

So my friend is a new player who just made an account like 3 or 4 days ago. We've only been friends in Apex for that amount of time, and he's level 15 and has done the login verification in order to be able to gift, but apparently we need to be friends for 2 weeks minimum in order to gift to each other? Does anyone know if the free gifts in featured store will go away in 6 days because that's when it refreshes? If it will then how will he be able to get the flatline skin?

You'll need to be friends in-game for two weeks before you can gift to each other. There's a rotation of free gifts for the entire season, so you'll just have to make sure to gift six times before the end of the season (April/May) in order to complete that challenge.
