Using one of the sticky spots before more updates for the new season are stickied:

Following discussion on this recent post

Just announcing that the mod team after a vote has decided twitter/x links are going to be banned. Screenshots of tweets are allowed to be posted in general, but keep in mind rules on low effort content as technically a post that is just a screenshot of a tweet falls under those (long-standing, not new) rules:

https://www.reddit.com/r/apexlegends/wiki/rules#wiki_low-effort.2C_memes.2C_and_duplicate_posts.

Type of low-quality content we do not allow:

[...]

  • No screenshots of tweets.

It should contain maybe a bit of context / discussion of what's in the tweet in text. This rule isn't so much about it "being a tweet" but more so about how much substance the post has.

Genuine question, with Respawn and Apex Legends Twitter/X accounts being the main post location for posting info, sometimes in a day or two in advance before other places (some crucial hot-fixes), what is the plan to keep the subreddit updated with info?

Although the mods are still permitting screenshots, we've been crossposting status updates on the Trello and are also looking to leverage the u/ApexLegends profile page when possible. No official expansion to other potential social platforms yet.
