As it is holiday season for many of us, I am sharing this note of thanks to all the non-toxic Legends out there. I'm not new to FPS games, but pretty new to Apex. I almost always play solo, and my experience is usually positive. When I'm with stronger players, I do my best to stay out of trouble and try to learn by watching their tactics. I've been carried more than a few times, and I often choke under pressure.

During this match last night, two random Legends straight up carried me like a sack of potatoes. Octane even respawned me with a mobile beacon, despite the fact that I was contributing almost nothing to the team. I am beyond proud that I could reward them for their kindness by coming through in the clutch (for once!).

TL;DR: Don't give up on random potatoes! We learn a lot by observing/apprenticing with stronger squad mates. In a team-oriented game, we might be useful later.

100% this. And I totally echo the sentiment about learning a lot from better players. And, in my experience, the kind and helpful players are the vast majority. And I played most of my games before I came to work at Respawn, so I know that it's not simply the result of (now) having that DEV badge. The team aspect of this game is really what made me fall in love with it and want to work on it. And this type of post makes me incredibly proud to be a part of this game, both as a player and as a developer.
