After reading about the H.O.D. ban and Wildcard response that they ban first and will review after, I thought it was worth asking them about a ban I received years ago. Long store short I was banned (not VAC banned) and I think that if they reviewed it they would reverse it. The response I received at the time is that their policy is to not review bans. I posted about the experience at the time in this subreddit and the response from you all was basically "LOL you got banned cheater", so I moved on.

The response I received this time from Wildcard is basically the same, they do not review "legacy" bans. It confirms my suspicion that they only reversed the H.O.D ban due to community backlash.

Full response I received: This is a legacy developer ban as such we do not remove them. Sincerely,

Enforcer Captnmorgan

Legacy ban refers to a ban that was made before the Enforcement team was put into place. As stated in that message we don’t review them, as a significant amount of time has passed.

By back tracking on HOD'S ban, WC did set a dangerous precedent. Review one ban, review them all. It's only fair.

The review precedent was set long ago. We do review bans. However, legacy bans are over a year old at this point and we do not remove these.
