I was playing Halo Reach yesterday on my computer, but when I attempted to play today I was greeted by this message:

"We couldn't sign you in to Xbox Live.

Your account doesn't match your dev environment. If you're in the right sandbox, switch to Microsoft account for that environment. To keep using this account, change the registry's sandbox and environment. (%1)"

I tried to google the issue and found another reddit thread, but the sollutions there didn't help for me. I haven't done anything inbetween now and my last play session other than turning off my computer. I have no idea what has happened. Can anyone help? Thanks.

EDIT: Updating Windows fixed the issue! I'm ready to dive back in!

If updating windows didn't resolve the issue for you, you can try this which has worked for others:

  • sign out of store
  • restart pc
  • sign into store
  • launch the title from its store page
