While Twitter is up in arms about who is an actual game dev and who isn't (QA, CM, Programmer), I'm just happy to be doing what I love to do in the games industry. If you are doing what you love, don't get caught up in how other people define your passion.

@linuxwingman Just a huge Twitter debate on what's an actual 'game dev;. Some argue QA and CM's are part of game dev, some argue they aren't. I'm just saying it doesn't really matter at the end of the day. Do what you love. Who cares how its defined

Having done what some may consider actual game development (programming) and not game development (community lead), I feel just as much as I'm making a game now. Even more so in some aspects.

I guess what it really boils down to is do you want to be called a game developer by the public or do you actually want to make a game.

@Steffi74352755 There are always people looking over servers. That is just not my responsibility. if you're reporting it on the outage form, someone is seeing it.

@PoetRose3 I'd agree but I'm just arguing it doesn't matter whether 'people' give me credit. My value is defined by what I'm doing to help make that game, not by what people label it as.
