[2019] Performance non-dedicated vs dedicated on the same machine

I host a small server for me and two friends from my machine. Performance wasnt an issue until we hit a couple hundres tames. Often the ram is maxed out. Im now wondering if my personal Performance will improve if i host the server via ASM instead of non-dedicated. My personal pc runs on an i7 4700k with 16gb. I also have a second pc with an i5 4460 and 8gb, but id rather just have one pc running if the performance increase is sufficient.

Bonus question: i have two max lvl plesios, but i still dont feel like exploring the oceans or underwater caves. As i see it half the underwater predators could take them out easily. They can take on alpha mosas or megalodons, but they get killed without a chance of fighting back by elctric eels, jellyfish ans squids due to their respective stun and/or dismount. Is a basilo really the only, safe underwater option?
