This is in regards to seeing the streamer pirate software mention conflict with another guild. I think in game guild conflict is obviously part of the pvx experience and can even enhance the dynamics of the game. Long story short, pirate software has another guild that is KOS, which is totally fine... however... On release they will run as massive multi org guild on a server running a complete monopoly on any event they are involved in. This ruins the experience of those who want to actually engage in systems that are allowed and even promoted in ashes of creation by forever gatekeeping player interaction experiences. This is anything from competition for resource, or caravan piracy ect. If you make them your enemy, your entire experience in AOC will be ruined.
I'm sure someone might say well if they didn't want that, then they shouldn't have done it (piracy, pking ect) And that is TRUE on a normal scale where punishment and discourse is of correct scale. The issue is we are talking about a literal zerg guild shutting out other players from their experience. Regardless of how you feel about a chivalrous mmo experience, players that want to engage in specific mechanics should be able to do so freely, with the appropriate repercussions because their experience is important also.
A monopolous guild like this will discourage interesting conflict because people will be so scared of any sort of pvx interaction. If a streamer is using their leverage of their audience promotes sets a really negative precedence of how the server will function. You can almost be assured the server they roll on will be entirely controlled by them, from events to elected officials. Its almost assured to go against a multiguild org is to be an enemy of the state, instead of being in healthy competition.
