Office Hours is an opportunity to join the player discussion on topics we're actively collecting feedback on. Join @Roshen and @Vaknar over in the Ashes of Creation Discord for a voice chat during our next Community Office Hours on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 11AM PDT (convert to your local time). This event should last about one hour. This is not a Q&A session. For this session, we will be using Discord Stage. Every 10 minutes, we’ll be bringing up small groups of players to participate in one of the discussion prompts on this topic. DISCUSSION TOPIC The main topic of discussion for this Office Hours will be the Commission System, based on what we shared during the February 2024 Development Update Livestream. You can find the forum feedback thread for this topic here. In this session, we’ll break each of the 10 minute segments up to focus on one of these conversations:
  • General Commission System Discussion - How do you feel about the direction of the Commission System, based on information shared during the February 2024 Development Update? What are you excited about and what concerns do you have?
  • Side Quests, Events, and Story Arcs - What feedback do you have on Side Quests, Events, and Story Arcs? How do you feel about the way these things are connected and how players interact with these via the Journal?
  • More or Less Guidance - When it comes to questing and immersion, what is your preference? Do you prefer when more things are more of a surprise to players, or do you like it better if the connection between quests and other narrative systems is more predictable?
  • Questing In Other Games - What do you feel other games do well when it comes to questing, and what kind of quests do you NOT like?
If you’d like to contribute to this discussion, we recommend you watch the Alpha Two Commission Preview video. Thanks again! We look forward to chatting with you all soon! -- NOTE: If you have Commission System feedback outside of this Office Hours voice chat session, please provide that here.
