@kibracamonte35 Unofficials only need to rollback if they want to restore anything lost (i.e aberrant dinos) by the release of v800.11 -- these are client patches to fix issues with crashes/invisible creatures etc.

@simonallum Character appearance data wasn't lost, just.. visuals, so once the PS4 patch (I assume you're on PS4?) rolls out, you'll get that back.

@seanedits Nah, I just don't respond to everyone, especially those who rely on logical fallacies. Though if you'd like to look through my 23k tweets, you'd find the majority (~90%) are responding to criticism and relaying information (70% of which are likely ARK specific).

@seanedits I'm sympathetic to your frustrations, but that first 20gb update was 10000% critical and needed because of issues introduced with the latest major version and as was this follow up update.

@seanedits If you go over your data usage because of our patches, that sucks, but you're also a responsible human being who has the power to have self control over how much data they actually use. Take responsibility for your own decisions.

@seanedits The 20gb update was necessary as the latest major version introduced an issue with some core game files, we had to patch them in again. Unfortunately those files also 'touch' or 'link' up to a bunch of other things in the game, hence the very large patch size.

@seanedits The crashes were actually related to memory, and prior to that 20gb update players would have had more due to the corrupted files. So a side effect of fixing it, meant that players had access to less memory, thus causing more crashes. However this latest update (v800.18) fixes it

@Rpurser311 @yomomma24481252 Don't have an ETA, it's being pushed through the systems though so hopefully sometime soon. It's just a client patch that needs to go out, nothing to do with servers.

Some more good news. Hopefully we'll hear back from Japan & EE (Europe, rest of the world) soon too as their work days are just starting to begin/will begin in a few hours. @tazman1983 @ComplexMinded @NotDollie It's just connecting to some platform owned downloads servers and getting the files from there. You might have better luck pausing/resuming but its not something we have control over.

@tazman1983 @ComplexMinded @NotDollie We don't host the updates, we just push them through to the other platform systems and theyre sent out to users from there. So whatever platform you're playing on, they're the ones in control of that stuff.

Also make sure you're not streaming to the Xbox App as that'll definitely slow it down (and close other open applications). If it's any consolation, I get slow downloads no matter the game haha. I suspect it's just because they're overloaded
