[2019] Ziplines on ships?

Hello fellow pirates, outlaws and law abiding sailors,

I've not been playing too long, so alot of the game is still a mystery to me,

But i do understand like ARK, Atlas also has Zip-lines that work in a very similar fashion,

Just want to know before i waste my time crafting and getting the skills for it, will they work on a ship?

For example if i wanted to run one from a crows nest, to the deck, would that work? or will they just bug out on ships?
