We are aware of the issue some players on the NA PVP cluster are having with transferring. The team are actively working to resolve it now. Thank you for your patience.
The team are investigating the reports of players being thrown to the character creation screen. We will have an update for you guys as soon as possible. Thank you.
I seldom manage to grab pics of my cat with his eyes open and looking at the camera because looking at me makes his eyes go all happy squint -.- http://pbs.twimg.com/media/Dx4RO0jUwAEug77.jpg
@theskunky1 @sailtheatlas We've been monitoring the stone tier changes in the live environment along with discussing it internally. Jat and I have both updated the community about this informally but we wont make an official-type-announcement until we have something concrete to share with you guys.
@Daelynth @sailtheatlas It's something you would have done manually previously. Also if you're on v18.11, you're not opted in. Also if you look at ATLAS in your library, you'd see the branch in square brackets like: ATLAS [performancetest] 🙂
Hey folks, looking into reports regarding the destroyed ships right now. We'll be conducting a short service-wide rollback to just before the patch went live. Thank you for your patience and we apologise for scaring you!
Hey folks, looking into reports regarding the destroyed ships right now. We'll be conducting a short rollback on our PvE networks to just before the patch went live. Thank you for your patience and we apologise for scaring you!
@Z3ug3n When making decisions like this, we need to factor in what will impact the least amount of players detrimentally. In this case, only Golden Age servers on PvP were affected (and it was only a small percentage of ships on those servers) whilst 200+ other servers were not.
@Z3ug3n Were we to roll back PvP also, a much higher percentage of players would suffer loss. In contrast, every single PvE server was affected. Unfortunately, sometimes it is a case of the lesser of two evils
We're investigating at the moment, so far it doesn't seem to be something on our end. It may be related to downtime Steam is having, https://downdetector.com/status/steam. Other hosts have contacted us and indicated that they're having some problems, but we're going to keep investigating.
@DanMan40638665 @sailtheatlas @Jatheish Please go ahead and DM me with a link to your associated support ticket that has the full report/evidence for this.
A player DM'ed me this. This is an example of what level designers get up to when no one is watching. I'm onto you guys!
One could call it a...dickscovery point. I'll see myself out. 😬 http://pbs.twimg.com/media/Dyxp4quUUAA4ZEm.jpg
@MitchyD We may not have a load of positions open at the moment but we would like to throw our hat in the ring in support of those affected: http://www.studiowildcard.com/jobs/
Our hearts go out to the 800 Activision Blizzard employees affected by layoffs. Here is a fantastic resource for the many talented and ambitious people in the industry to find jobs. https://twitter.com/MitchyD/status/1095344196947300352
We are aware some players are experiencing a Kicked By BattlEye: Client Not Responding issue. We're actively looking into it with our engineers with high priority. Hopefully I will have more info to share with you guys soon.
@TeaPotandSaucer We decided to change it a little so PvE players could still have that challenge and interaction whilst out at sea. Just...not on their doorsteps!
@Dakhar93 @Jatheish @sailtheatlas This next Captain's Log is going to be a bumper edition so we've held off a little in order to cram all of that goodness and info in.
@HuntK_ @sailtheatlas Hi, please scroll down past the notes for the incoming v19 at the top of the post and you will see comprehensive notes for each deployment.
Thanks for all of the feedback and sharing of concerns regarding the changes to the claiming systems on both PvP and PvE. I feel I've a pretty good idea of how you guys feel and I'll continue sharing that with the team. Keep it coming, we're listening.
@RTossbag We're okay with numbers being low for now, the development process for ATLAS is long term. Shoot me a Discord DM about the exploit you mentioned. Dollie#0001
@helkhiana Hmm as far as my perspective on it goes: A couple of guys from a small group sank a Galleon belonging to a top company - kudos to them. He was then captured for a short time until they determined he was being too annoying to justify keeping him as a prisoner. Funny AF imo
@helkhiana We then progress through to an encounter with another small group holding his friend prisoner and some back and forth banter resulting in him being gifted a chicken by the company and waved off. I think your definition of griefing is vastly different to mine.
Going through the final round of testing on a hotfix-laden patch. It may not be the most exciting of updates for some but squashing bugs and improving performance and DC issues is exciting for us.
v22 Patch Notes: http://sail.gg/PCnotes
Please note in regards to "Fixed a case where players would disconnect on certain servers when loading into large bases." We advise setting your Client Network Bandwidth option value back to Epic if you had changed it to deal with the disconnections as that should be fine now.
Whew that was a long day/night. Thank you for your patience as we got the Captain's Log sorted. Whether it's passionate critique or praise, we do appreciate that you guys care about the game <3 http://pbs.twimg.com/tweet_video_thumb/D2A6V77U0AAVOS-.jpg
