Credit where it's due: they're great for stunning enemies from mid range, which also makes them great to force Assault Adaptoids out of their fire aura. Provided I don't get hit, they also build intrinsic meter really fast.

But I hate that they have so much recoil that I'm almost aiming at the moon every time I shoot more than 10 bullets. And in a game full of enemies with projectiles that I have to keep dodging, it also feels inconvenient to have to commit to this attack for several seconds to get a decent amount of fire. I'd rather pick High Caliber and dodge stuff as many times as I want while still making holes in enemies, or even one-shotting them.

So I wanted to know how you guys use Full Auto to see if I can learn something. Are they some hidden gem I'm ignoring? Are they better than I'm giving them credit for, but still meh? Or do they really need some tweaking to become viable, especially in comparison to the other guns?

Full auto tends to be really good to apply status effects, i personally use them for that effect and switch to single shot for damage dealing.
