The game sort of has an identity issue right now, DICE can't decide if it's a hardcore shooter or a arcadey fun shooter.

I feel like they listened to too many people complain about how casual BF1 was and went so far in another direction that they have now alienated the people they captured with BF1 (which is STILL an amazing game imho). Now it seems like they toggle between these two ideas and are trying to make both work, which is just not possible in the long run.

They need to make this a 'Battlefield' Game. Tanks and Planes are things to deal with in a Battlefield game. They are supposed to be fun, but they are also supposed to be able to be taken down with smart play from infantry. Make the planes easier to maneuver and fight air - to - air and air - to - ground, but also give ground players more options to fight them from the ground by buffing the AA Cannons and Tanks. Make the tanks tougher to kill, but make it harder for the tanker to tank by increasing the shell reload time and cool down for the MGs.

Those are just some examples, but I feel like the balance is always off in the game. I know they will get it right at some point, but it is frustrating right now while they tinker with things.

This is not a realistic war sim, it never has been. If it was much of the weapons, uniforms, etc would be different.
