Battlefield Currency Reward Bug

  • As mentioned last week, we are aware that some players are not receiving the 100 BFC for completing this week's mission.
    • The team is working on rolling out a fix (potentially tomorrow) to prevent this from happening in the future.
    • The fix will not be retroactive, meaning it won't grant you the 100 BFC.
    • To make up for this issue, we're granting EVERYONE who logs in within a certain period of time 200 BFC. Details will be posted when we confirm the mass grant date (should be this week).
  • We moved some of the giveaways around as I will be on "Staycation Birthday Holiday" starting Thursday and will be back to work after Memorial Day. May 21-25, 2020.
  • EA PLAY LIVE Announcement
  • Our global teams on all franchises continue to work to keep games going, per EA Update on the Coronavirus Situation.

Even though the Chapter itself has ended, last week's update was 6.6.

The next update (in June) will be when the playlist gets removed. So, in a way, it's still the end of Chapter 6. Apologies if there was any confusion.

I don't have any details on Grand Ops getting a rework.

The team is checking in JIRAs and confirming fixes for 7.0 this week and next. Once it's all locked, we'll have full details of the content coming in the June/7.0 Update, as well as a release date.

Thanks so much, Chapman! If you leveled up, it was probably from that. With the Promotions feature that came online in August of last year, we changed how you are rewarded with leveling. I believe at certain levels you actually get 100 BFC for levelling.

Did you complete the mission? If so, that's where it came from.

TF2 was such a great game. I loved the storyline and the pilot/Titan combat was so great.

Can you confirm this? I've actually never heard about this addition before. I thought it was just CC for levelling up?

My apologies. Minor crossed-wires. I think I was thinking of Tier Skips converting to Boins if you had hit max Chapter rank, but this wouldn't matter anymore. Will edit/correct my post.

It's not chapter Six anymore so what gives?

While the Tides of War Chapter 6 has ended, it's still technically within Chapter 6 until we release the June/7.0 Content update.

Any update on the Boins hotfix, or has the team not shared anything yet?

The fix went out yesterday. The 200BFC went out today (just login). And we’re seeing reports that the fix DID work retroactively for those that completed the mission.

We’re doing an entire company wide program giving out codes for most of the games during the coronavirus “shelter-in-place” situation to help keep people entertained and safe.

Considering this is the BFV subreddit, it would make sense to give out BFV codes (and I have .. a lot), but I’m also giving out codes for BF1 and BF4 for folks who may haven’t played them, or want to get their friends into them. I support the whole franchise of Battlefield.
