Since its release, the co-op experiences of Combined Arms have been a way for up to four players to tackle intense missions against enemy AI, as well as a way for them to improve skills before heading into multiplayer. With the latest Battlefield™ V* update, Combined Arms was expanded with two missions and a new way to join forces with other players, those that aren't already your friends. Read all about it below!
Co-op Across the World
First, we’ve added matchmaking to Combined Arms. This means you can choose whether to play with only your friends, or you can team up with other gamers that want to play the same difficulty and mission as you. Choose your approach in the Play/Combined Arms menu.
Tackle Two New Missions in Fjell 652
The brutal Norwegian mountain peak of Fjell 652 is the backdrop of two added Combined Arms missions. Dubbed High Intelligence, the first mission challenges you to steal top secret documents from German forces. Use your wits and lightning-fast gunplay to outwit the opposition and acquire the crucial intel. Then, safely make it back to the extraction point in the map’s small hamlet.
The second task, Death from Above, sees you fighting through the map’s snowy, narrow pathways on a mission to destroy German military hardware. Once a set of huge artillery cannons have been scrapped, your squad needs to extract from the scene. Make it to the other side of the mountain in one piece, shout auf Wiedersehen, and receive your reward.
Both missions will earn you 500, 1,000, or 1,500 Company Coin when completed on the Easy, Medium, or Hard difficulty settings, respectively. Use this bounty in the Armory to unlock new gear for your Company.
Whether you’ll go at it alone, with friends, or with other Battlefield V players out there, we hope you’ll enjoy these additions to Combined Arms. Good luck – and play the objective.
