According to a fairly substantial rumour, support and medic players that carry crates can be "pick-pocketed" for ammo and medical pouches by friendly players.
The Player carrying the crate does not recieve ANY xp for this action. I'm hoping people will even bother to use crates anymore...
ammo crates are key for resupplying gadgets. you can keep flares in the recons flair gun and dynamite in the hands of an assault player indefinitely if you keep throwing crates down when needed.
big issue with the crates: far too many times people will ignore them and go right for a resupply point. silly players.
If ammo crates restored grenades we’d have more players using them over resupply stations.
But we'd also have nade spam issues like previous BFs. Take the good with the bad I guess. 🙃
