Me: Oh boy everyone is so positive after that last patch, can't wait to finally enjoy the game

Also me: gets harassed because of my name for the 1000th time.

Seriously Dice, your report function doesn't work. It really doesn't. That guy was 170 level or something like that and was toxic for the entirety of the match, meaning that this has been his attitude all this time towards other players. Yet we have a chat filter that is more of a pain in the ass to work around than actually suppressing toxicity.

When is all this going to change?

Report it to /u/partwelsh and /u/braddock512, it's best if you do it via Twitter. Jeff himself noticed a tweet with a BF4 recording of some racist scum verbally abusing a player, he asked for the platform and username. Worth a shot.

To be super clear - the best way to ever report incidents is via this link below.

Our team are able to investigate and action faster when you report directly via the systems that we have in place to manage these things.

We always have the facility to do entirely manual investigation, but if we have it direct from a player, in relation to an incident that you've encountered with another player, our systems allow us to properly match and present this to us so that it can be actioned where appropriate.

I have no problem with people highlighting incidents to myself or Jeff so that we can make sure its seen by the teams who manage our moderation and enact bans, but for transparency, we aren't privy to their tools and tech beyond that, and are never in a position to confirm where action has been taken.

We abhor racism, and abusive toxic behaviour online. We don't want it anywhere near Battlefield. Thank you for helping to participate in removing it.
