Thanks god I live in Germany, one of the richest countries of the world! I bought best internet flatrate available for only 55€ with maximum download speed of incomprehensible fast 1.2 MB/S!
Even with a good connection you might be out of luck. EAs Origin network constantly shits the bed and delivers only 2.5MB/s at best. For example this was the case for me when I initially downloaded BF:V and for most of the patches so far. (edit: see other comments in this very thread)
Afaik they're using Akamai as CDN, which was critized for being slower than the competition numerous times in the past
I get 12 MB/s In Sweden from origin - but it's once all files are distributed across the backend. It seems to take a while initially every patch.
