Can it be changed so we can mix and match the Elite Characters/ Cosmetics with the in-game customization system? I really enjoy the customization in this game.

In all honesty I was actually excited for Boins and ready to spend money for new characters but not if I can't customize their appearance or use them with the full extent of the customization system already in game (which I really enjoy using and was a big highlight for me). If that is the case that they're locked presets then unfortunately I won't be spending any money on them.

You got to be kidding. The airlifts were a complete ripoff. 20 Weekly airlifts, in my mother tongue there's no ambiguous meaning to those words. On the website it still states to this day that I'm going to receive 20 items per week. Compare the 3 weapon skins we got with any other skin in the game and try to keep a straight face telling me they look any good. They're only a colour change to the standard green skin you get in the beginning. The special assignments got us some extra CC, but we won't be able to buy every item with them, as some will be locked behind a paywall. Probably the best ones will only be obtainable with Boins. I don't even know which soldier sets came with bfv, so underwhelming are they compared to any other skin. If there isn't going to be any compensation, be sure that most people that bought DE won't buy another deluxe edition again.

I think lot of the fuzz about the Deluxe Edition's contents originates from the fact that it's very hard to figure out what you actually got from the Premium Edition, because a) there's no indication ingame, and b) the descriptions given in the blog don't really explain what you got either. In the reward list the new Panzer 38T "Frankreich" skin reward for Chapter 3 have been replaced by the older Stug "Getüncht" skin reward from Chapter 2 after the new update. There were multiple epic tier cosmetics in chapter 1 that were buyable with CC, but now we have to spend money on the exact same cosmetic which doesn’t seem right to me. Firstly, the new Epic skins look, well, pretty epic to me. The new armory is definitely a step in the right direction for once. However, if you take a step towards the goal you can still get farther away from the goal, if the goalpost is moved.

The fact that said Epic skins are only purchasable through Boins is outright stupidity, and very disappointing. Whoever decided to advertise that all cosmetics will be obtainable through CC (with the exclusion of Elites) probably shouldn’t of done so, as it was very misleading and vague

And the topping on the cake...

The new update, while many are disappointed, isn’t that bad and is definitely better than having the same boring cosmetics every day. I applaud the attempt, I really do, but adjustments and changes need to be made.

EDIT: Also, “20 weekly items” was the pinnacle of twisted advertising.

EDIT: Changed wording to show that advertisement was misleading.

Firstly I've only seen one example of this, which hardly constitutes 'throughout' and 'devs' but hey, we know reasonable interpretation is not EA's strong point (for some reason).

For a start not many people go on reddit so you really shouldn't be seeing that as a reliable place to alter claims made on the EA website and within mainstream promotional events (reveal event). Not sure if you followed the No Man's Sky lawsuit based on false advertising, but the takeaway from that was any claims made on social media are not binding and are basically just ideas being shared. Meaning they carry no weight. What does carry weight is the graphic put out by EA and the sales pitch at the live reveal where a producer said you can work towards any item you want.

While it is better than nothing and does satisfy the claims made at the reveal people prefer to play when they can play. Putting time gates into the grind just kills the idea of grinding. Outside of daily challenges, it has been handled pretty well in the rest of the game so why not allow an 'at leisure' type system for cosmetics too instead of having to wait until week 85 or Chapter 8 battle pass.

They seem to have completely disregarded why people paid real money for items in the first place - because they didn't want to grind many hours to get it. Now it all comes down to "do I need this item in my life, should I put $10 on my credit card for that one skin", and no other thought process. It is not a free to play game, people don't have that voice in their head saying "well I like this game so I can justify spending up to $60 on MTX". For these reasons I think the MTX won't do as well as they could as they don't carry any perceived value beyond paying the $.

From the perspective of devs and people who like to grind content, time gates and loot boxes work in pretty much the same way. They still only give away a certain number of items which is directly linked to how many people are playing and how much an individual plays. Rarity of an item in both systems can be adjusted by changing the drop rates of the loot box or making the item only appear once in an expected quiet week and never again.

One last idea- 'build your own battle pass' (optional). As far as I know it hasn't been done and has the potential to increase engagement and keep everyone happy about the Boins only items. A player could perhaps spend 500 CC to change an item from say the Ratburner to say the Trench Digger. That way they are invested and will very likely obtain it and it will be a special item as they chose it.

Just want to reply and say it is now fixed in the rewardslist showing the Frankreich 38T instead of Stug Getuncht for TOW. It does say I have it unlocked in the TOW list, but it is missing in my skin selection for the 38T still. Even after playing several matches it doesn't pop up.

As of around 20 days after this bug, I still haven't gotten the Frankreich skin. :( I don't want anything else but that skin since I worked hard for it and the 38T is my fav tank. I hope I can still get it? If it is released in store, being given the amount of CC or BOINS required to buy it would be fair compensation I think.
