I logged in to BFV couple of minutes ago, it stated it needed an update. Did the update, took a second or two, but now my screen is tearing up, the game is completely dark at times, cant start game modes etc.
Any one else have this issue?

If they haven't been able to solve it, the Konami code will force a reset of the UI and it may be helpful to get you back in
↓↓ + ↑↑↑↑ + Space(PC) / Square(PS4) / X (XB1) + ↑ + ↓

It does and you're right, its not the exact Konami code but it's in tribute of it.
