Me too! I usually end up missing the conferences because I’ll have a lot on in the day but I make a point of Downloading them on YT Premium and then I watch them on the flight home.
Really hoping we see more Halo and a new Forza Horizon expansion (Tokyo pls)

Just going to play a bit of Battlefield V and then I’m going in full E3 mode: first Microsoft, then Bethesda and finally Devolver Digital (oh boy, part 3!).

I was just having that conversation with /u/f8rge and /u/Darokaz before people walk in. Mentally, super tired but I know that the second people pile in the room I just jump right back up 11. I’m a total energy vampire.
Nervous? Not so much! But it was overwhelming in parts. It’s a hugely proud moment to be able to give representation to people I admire and respect so much across the Battlefield team. Really really grateful to everyone who sent messages yesterday in support 💛

I feel like there are a few important detail you lads really want to prioritize clarifying:
1). The new roadmap has with the "June 27" bracket "New Weapons". This is rather confusing, as there is only a single week in that time-frame, and the normal tide of war drops only allow a single weapon per week, so it being plural is weird. Is this a typo or will C4 come with a major content drop right out the door?
2). And the most important one for you to adress (Kenturrac already *somewhat* addressed it but I rather have it from you), because it is quite obvious that the subreddit is divided on the interpretation. During the E3 briefing, it was said that we will "Initially get 3 maps". Now, the reasonable interpretation of this is that once C5 drops, we get 3 maps, right then, right there, for our immediate consumption. However, the roadmap contradicts this greatly, saying "Before 2020". This, of course, is something most would interpret as "one map every patch between end october and 20th december". These are, of course, mutually exclusive and set entirely different expectation, so I suggest you publically clarify it immediately during the next This Week In Battlefield. Same goes for the weapons. "7 weapons and gadgets before 2020"...Does that mean we will get 7 weapons and gadgets as our initial package to assure we can play with theatrically accurate weapons? Or does it mean 7 weapons delivered through weekly ToW progression? Once again, very different expectations.
- What was the thing we were supposed to watch out for (As you repeatedly said us to do) because to my knowledge other than the specific map count, we got a lot of exposition to those interested in behind-the-scenes shit but nothing of real substance. for those who frequent this sub the presentation was 90% pointless.
- What the f**k happened to 5v5? Seriously, nothing during the presentation, nothing on the roadmap, STILL no clarification whether Lofoten and Provence are standard MP maps; it sounds like 5v5 was silently taken behidn the barn and put down
1 - Chapter 4 features new weapons. My expectation isn’t that they’ll all just drop on day 1. I’ll feed this back to the design team.
2 - Chapter 5 will feature 3 maps before we reach 2020. Timeline, frequency and order of the maps isn’t defined presently. We are committing to delivering 3 maps before 2020 for Chapter 5
3 - I’m happy with what we showed off and talked about and I’ve seen a lot of response that suggests the same. I respect entirely that folks who are well clued in to everything we see will have had a flatter experience but I’m still proud with what we showed. Through the whole process we had a lot of fun and we are keen to see what we can bring back to Stockholm and do more of, more frequently and consistently.
4 - We didn’t feature it this weekend to give more focus to what people want to hear most about. Maps. My expectation is that the two will first feature in the experience that they were designed for but we are 100% open to the idea of bringing them to sensible modes. My personal belief is that they aren’t great for big player counts but I’d trust the team to find a good way to make them play fun on smaller modes.
Installed the game today, I'm still adjusting to KB+M but I'm having tons of fun.
It’s a weird switch up. I struggle with muscle memory going back and forth. Because there’s so many great console releases through Christmas I often spend the later half of the year relearning console and then relearn PC when I switch back.

For sure! We feel great about how well all the new stuff has been received. Now we have gotten the reveals out of the way we get to think about how and what we talk about on the road to their release.
What are some games by other studios you’ve seen at E3 that you’re excited about?
So far, I haven’t seen anything else by anyone - I’ve been so busy working that I’ve missed all of the conferences and news so far.
I tend to download and watch this stuff on the flight home.
Games that I’m excited about that I know about?
Borderlands 3 for sure.
There’s rumour that we will get more content for Elite Dangerous this year.
I play a lot of Football Manager to pass the time and switch off and that’s been announced for Stadia which suits my life hugely so I’m all for that.
Other than that, I’m so massively blind to upcoming games right now that I’m genuinely just excited to go home and play more of the games that I have!

Doing very well, just fixed my Vespa, man that thing was in a really bad shape.
Now I am going to play a couple rounds of Battlefield and Mordhau.
EA play has made me hyped for the future of this Battlefield and I can't get my head to rest about all the cool stuff that could be added in the future: Panther, Sherman Firefly/Easy eight, cool guns, lots more customization (please also more CC customization), new maps to play on and hopefully more immersion into the war like what Battlefield 1 did really well with Grand Ops narrative and lots and lots more.
I am excited!

Mordhau looks great fun. I watch TwoAngryGamers play it a lot on Twitch. Makes me wish I’d played more of For Honor because I like those games.
