Thank god if I can change the slide to just a single button press. I hate having to double tap crouch to slide. In like every other game out there with sliding it's typically holding crouch while sprinting. I don't understand why make it double tap.
Yes! You will be able to set it up like it used to work in bf1. The double tap was needed to not interfere with the crouch sprint, but we finally decided that it should be possible to single tap instead.
I almost went into cardiac arrest thinking they were toying with the idea of removing vaulting from the game.
That would be bad indeed, especially after many hours spent on making it work in the first place...
No I replied to a request to be able to cancel vaults during the animation, which we are debating.
Will there be any option for players to keep it as it is as I really enjoy the single tap for crouch and double tap slide for some weird reason
The current behavior will remain the default on all platforms.
i know you guys have priorities but canceling a vault or at least retracting it like apex does would mean a LOT even if people don't realize it

Love the idea of this. What are your concerns about adding it? Seems like a great idea to give the player a little more control over their movement. I'm trying to think of a reason this would be a bad idea and I can't really think of anything. Would love to hear what you guys are considering.
Well it takes time to develop, both from me and the animators, and there is always a chance of introducing new issues.
