Let me lay the set: you wake up near the end of 2018. You immediately get put in a good mood just at the thought of playing BF2. You roll over in your bed and immediately visit the BF2 sub-Reddit.

Back then we were a small group with about 800-1500 people on the sub a day.

You could scroll through the sub and recognize every single username.

Of course you see clips of mo_salah and jmac and a few others absolutely destroying lobbies, you go in the comments and talk for a little bit and crack a few jokes and continue scrolling.

Then you come across sad_joker, the man that seems to be on 200 MGs of Adderall at all times making 2000+ word posts about every damage value in the game. (You crazy motherf*cker. Seriously, if you need to know anything about the game, ask u/sad_joker95.)

You talk about balance, but since we were such a small group of people, there was very little people disagreeing because we were all veterans and knew the fundamentals of the game.

You spend your day off playing BF2 and talking to all your friends on the sub no arguing, just friends talking.

I remember these days fondly. Every time I think about them, I can’t help but smile.

with a mixture of the great population boom of 2019 on this sub, and most of us becoming adults and having responsibilities, we can no longer have 50+ comments a day, instead making a short comment every few days.

Unfortunately, my stupid brain decided to give me little no the serotonin to the point getting out of bed was my main demon of the day. And trying out 10+ antidepressants to no prevail, it seems like I’m stuck this way for a while, sadly. (Hopefully by the next game I’ll feel better and we’ll meet again)

But I will never forget the feeling in my brain just thing about the game and this sub, just pure euphoria and happiness. While it was just 3 years, these memories will forever be stapled in my brain.

Maybe all of us will meet again when the next Star Wars shooter comes out, but for now, all we can do is smile back on the memories and have fun.

While it may be cringy, I thought as each and everyone of you as best friends that I can count on when I’m feeling down.

Goodbye old friends. May the force be with you :D.

I've found it sad to see the subreddit become less and less active now that support has finished. It's also sad seeing no more posts from u/f8rge which would inevitably become bombarded with comments of "CT when?!"

We miss you all.
