The Squad System Update* has arrived to Star Wars Battlefront™ II, aiming to improve squad play. The update also marks the arrival of the 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps and 104th Wolf Pack Battalion Appearances**, offering their services to the Galactic Republic on the battlefront.

Earlier this month, we provided a detailed overview of how the improved Squad System will affect gameplay in Star Wars Battlefront II. Read a summary of the new feature – and learn more about our new battalions of clone troopers – below.

The Improved Squad System

Star Wars™ is full of stories of friends and companions adventuring and defeating the odds together. Therefore, providing a more meaningful way to play as a squad in Star Wars Battlefront II has been a priority for us to add to the game.

Simply put, the improved Squad System encourages team play by allowing players to spawn on a squad mate. If eliminated, you’re now able to toggle between squad members and get back right into the action.

Again, learn more about the Squad System in our recent rundown, and to dig even deeper, read our Community Transmission on the subject.

The 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps and 104th Wolf Pack Battalion

The 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps (short: 91st Recon Corps) was deployed to serve in multiple skirmishes during the Clone Wars, with the Battle of Ryloth being one (you can relive the space battle above Ryloth in Starfighter Assault and Hero Starfighters).

The 91st Recon Corps was recognized by their red, circular emblem applied to their white armor, and also fought next to the 212th Attack Battalion in command of Obi-Wan Kenobi – both debuting in Star Wars Battlefront II later this fall.

The 104th Wolf Pack Battalion, or just the Wolf Pack, was a battle-hardened group of clone troopers. Suffering heavy losses in the Clone Wars, they eventually changed their armor color from red to grey to honor their fallen members.

Both the 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps and 104th Wolf Pack Battalion are available as trooper Appearances for the Galactic Republic now, as part of the Squad System Update.

We hope that you’re enjoying the improved Squad System and the new clone troopers – we’re looking forward to hearing your feedback on the official forums.
