First of all, I'll adress the elephant in the room. All that time was spent in one round! One! Overtime has extended some game modes in the past before, but one round taking approximately 2 hours is kind of overkill.

So, gametime issues: I feel like there should be some way to make it easier for a team to win, instead of repeating the 1st phase over and over before you can make some real progress. Maybe the second time around, there is less time required with more Command Posts before the boarding begins?

Map: To be honest, the map design is really good. Especially the ship interiors. They are fantastic! However, when you say "large-scale game mode", I'd imagine something more akin to the 2nd phase of the Galactic Assault version of Geonosis. Here, it is a big map, but in most situations you'll be in close-quarters combat.

Reinforcements: I can only speak about playing as the ARC Trooper as of yet and I love him. He can be an absolute beast if you can get behind a group of droids and just start blasting away, but he's pretty weak against Specialists, for example. Still, the Power Blast is a great inclusion to his kit to make up for this.

The Commando droid, from what I've seen, is the opposite. Throughout the whole match I kept being sniped by that E-5 blaster. However, when I got close to him he suuuuucks. Unfortunately, from what I've seen, the Vibroblade isn't all that better than Phasma's staff.

Performance: Lost of bugs and glitches, as is expected of a new mode. However, unlike other new modes, this one seems to make performance take a big hit. I've always had 60FPS, but for some reason in this mode it can drop below 40, which is weird to say the least, seeing as I don't see how this would affect performance more than regular Geonosis.

Heroes: Heroes are cheaper in this mode, but for some reason there's a 2-hero limit... I don't understand why this is the case, because not only is the mode 32v32 now, but there's only 4 heroes anyway. Why not allow for more heroes? This is a bigger problem considering the fact that it's relatively easier to stay alive as a hero in this mode and because there is no cooldown to whoever gets heroes, which means that the same guy can keep respawning with the same hero over and over. In all 2 hours, the same dude was always playing Anakin. I feel like that's an issue.

AI: I was impressed. They kept going to command posts that weren't occupied, they were fairly competent in focusing heroes and other priority targets. If they made an Arcade version of this mode with this AI, I would be content.

Overall, I think the mode is good with a slight identity crisis. The 1st phase is great and feels like OG Battlefront, even if it lacks vehicles and starfighters, which makes it feel like a more close-quarter experience. The 2nd phase is also great, but it feels like something from Galactic Assault. I think both phases could work as seperate modes. Together, they have some issues that make matches last way longer than they should've.

I still prefer Geonosis Galactic Assault, but I'd be lying if I don't prefer this mode over all other Galactic Assault maps.

Thank you for your time.

The quote from u/ea_charlemagne was "All four heroes/villains are playable at once." Why would he say 'All four' if there are 8 total heroes? It seems to imply that it should be 4v4.

I'm checking with the team. Sounds like this might have been a late-stage balancing change.

No, the current game mode allows two heroes per side (2v2).

u/ea_charlemagne either misspoke and meant to imply that "Four heroes are playable at once" (2v2), the rule was modified sometime after he made that statement, or it's a bug and they really did mean 4v4.

I believe this was a late balancing change. 2v2 is intended, though we can change it live should we think it wouldn't throw things off.
