After playing both the Arc Trooper and the Commando Droid it is clear to me that the Arc trooper is miles better. The Commando is just underwhelming honestly. Here’s what I think could improve it:
-The thermal vision ability is more of a hinderance than it is useful. You can barely see whilst using it. Just make it like Arc trooper scan and highlight the enemies red.
-The sword, in fhe show these droids are extremely agile, inhumanly so, give them a nice spin or flip animation to go with the sword, or even allow them to double jump. Maybe even make him run slightly faster.
-His weapon, it fires too slow for the damage that it can output. Either the base damage or the RPM needs to be buffed because good luck trying to fight an ARC Trooper in 1v1, at any range.
-Smoke grenade, come on DICE, this ability sucks, you can’t even throw it... and it doesn’t work well anyway given the state of the thermal vision. My suggestion, which would actually improve the gun too, is to switch this for the modular weapon ability. Have it so that the commando droid can switch between a rapid fire rifle/smg and a sniper mode.
-Or how about a disguise ability? You can run up to a dead clone and disguise yourself in his armour like they do in the canon. There’d be some giveaway like blaster scoring on the armour or something. Just a suggestion.
