This individual is a voluntary moderator of an Battlefield Discord channel where EA / DICE employees often chat with the community.

Just as much as this subreddit is controlled and maintained by volunteers, and how the EA Answers HQ Forum hosts voluntary moderators in the form of "Champions' and "Heroes".

The distinction to be made however is that they are regular gamers just as much as yourself, that take whatever spare time they may have and contribute it to the betterment of their own community, out of passion to see their franchise and community grow.

These individuals can have varying opinions of the games released in the franchise, they can be critical or positive, so long as it is done in a constructive and mature manner.

It's okay to be angry or upset about the current state of the game, just as much as it's okay to be enjoying a game you've purchased too.

What is not okay is that we're taking regular people, putting them on the spot with misleading information with no context to character or role and just having at it.

It's disappointing to see and we really must be above it if we're to move forward as a community, not just a community that can call us out on shortfalls but also a community that can celebrate others for having fun. Opinions and feedback matter, no matter what side of the court we may be on.

Let's do that in a constructive and meaningful way, for the better man.

I agree with the sentiment. On an unrelated note, did you manage to get any feedback on Battlefront 2 being literally unplayable on PC multiplayer since you put it on the teams radar in December? I guess I would understand your hands are already full with a new community with pitchforks, but the previous one want to know to hold on to some hope or move on and uninstall.

With folks only just returning to the office this past week, progress has understandably (and unfortunately) been slow through the holidays. However progress was made towards getting a fix in place, it will be fixed, and we'll keep you all updated when they can do so.
