Why is it when I try and play TDM it puts me in a Free for All map! Free for all is terrible in this game because the spawns are terrible! Every time I spawn in I’m getting shot in the back no chance to do anything! February can’t get here soon enough

Not seeing this on my end, could you take a screenshot of it still showing up as TDM on your main menu or portal menu (wherever you're seeing this?)
