that is correct. The Battlefield 2042 Gold Edition includes both the Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X version of Battlefield 2042.

So if you use the same account on a new Xbox Series S, you don't have to pay again and can just continue playing, even with your same progress from the Xbox One that is being taken over.
