Worth keeping an eye on "Gameplay Responsiveness Improvements around Weapon Reload Animation and Audio".
I'm not smart enough to understand what this means. Can you elaborate with an example?
Weapons should feel more responsive. It's a hard thing to demonstrate with screenshots/videos, it's more in the actual feel.
Would it be possible for you guys to adjust a bit 1st person animation of lmgs and other weapons when deployed on it's bipods?
Currently whole weapon feels like it's floating in air rather than resting on bipods.
While BF3 had it sticked to ground feeling, in BF2042 it looks like it's floating in the air. Not because it's not fixed on the ground like in BF3, but because it's animation is wobbly, instead of having it's weight resting on something.
Just take e.g. M240B, lie on the ground and deploy it onto it's bipods.
it just feels off, it does not look nor feel like it's resting on it's bipods but floating in the air. Idle animation makes whole weapon moving up and down, like it's following breathing pattern of character. It should feel heavy and firmly on ground or some object. Instead it's giving the vibe that it's held in characters arms on hip when standing. Ideally all 1st person animation of weapons could use a bit of "weight" feeling to them. Perhaps for start just remove idle animation movement when resting on bipod. It will give it feeling of weight.
Bipods are something we talk a lot about. Some good feedback here, will pass it onto the rest of the team. Thanks.
My friend has been having issues with the Xbox series X version of the game. He crashes after every 1-2 games.
Will the update fix that issue or can you guys list it for a potential fix in upcoming updates?
For crashes like this I think the best course of action is to post them over on the official forums. That way they can be tracked properly and go through the system. I'm not aware of any current crashes, especially ones that would occur with some frequency.
No word on mouse and keyboad support in consoles... it seems the game it's still in alpha stage
We currently have no plans to support Mouse and Keyboard on console. Sorry.
Excited to try it out after some of the changes listed, sounds like a good patch.
Let us know your thoughts once you get hands on with it!
I thought this update was going to come with the class rework? Or is that the January update?
You can expect the Class Rework to take place in Update 3.2.0
Nice fix on kaleidoscope. Removing the park ( C1) and removing the other building at Russia’s Spawn (G1)
Hope this now plays better after the data and feedback that we've been seeing, please let us know how it feels for you!
did they mention anything about the 100% cpu usage in the patch notes hopefully? i didn’t see it in there and really hoping it’s fixed tomorrow
This is something that will be worked towards in the Update, and we shall be messaging about it separately on @BattlefieldComm once we've had time to assess the changes taking place.
What exactly does it mean by Airstrike Voice line?
These are audio cues for when heli's are about to plonk a load of explosives on your head 😊
Still no option to remove attachments from the plus system😔😔
We have sent this request through to the team to consider for the future, definitely hear you on that!
No word on the recoil fix yet?
This one is something that we're working towards resolving, however it won't be in time for 3.1. - We need to do a little bit more testing on it before we send it out 🙂
We're on it!
Hey u/F8RGE can you tell us if this will fix the recoil issues that were found by a coupke of youtubers recently?
We're working on that. It's a complex system so not something we want to risk rushing a fix out for as it could have severe consequences, especially with our ability to patch over the holiday period limited (everyone shuts down etc).
We're actively working on it and have made some progress. We had made improvements within 48 hours of the issue surfacing but we need to test, get it into our patch cycle and all that sort of stuff.
