Hey all, so as we are aware... Cold War is having a bit of a clusterf*** at the moment, whether it's the most recent game update or the latest NVIDIA Driver... But there are theories that Treyarch/Raven Software/Activision have deliberately embedded a bug to make Cold War unplayable in order to get people to buy Vanguard (how very sus).

But I am surprised how my PC which has the following specs, is now unable to "meet the minimum requirement for the lowest optimal settings":

Like, bro what?????

MY SPECS:

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3060 12GB OC

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.5GHz

Screens: 2 x 1920 x 1080, 165hz

Memory: 32768MB RAM

Available OS Memory: 32706MB RAM

But here is the more baffling thing... When I try to launch Cold War, it chokes my CPU at 100% during gameplay and whilst loading the game up. So clearly there is a bug somewhere in the new update which makes people's systems suddenly choke up, but I can play GTA 5 at full High and Ultra graphic settings with Raytracing at a benchmark of 60%/70% CPU capacity with no crashing issues?
They need to sort it out, ASAP.

I mean I’ll reply to all here, I was so confused… but so far I’ve played 4 games with no issues, there was an update of 400-500mb so I’m wondering whether it’s been patched or something, but I’ll keep playing and update 😶‍🌫️

Your post aligns with the changes we made today.

Crashing: Received a number of DMs over the weekend and flagged it with our team. Today/This Morning we rolled back an update that we originally released last week which introduced crashes for some players. Let me know if you are continuing to crash on Black Ops Cold War.

This is a very Reddit thing to suggest. Simply put, we wouldn't take the time to work on integrating the Vanguard Battle Pass, revealing the previous season's Prestige challenges, and more just to make the game non-functional. That would be a serious waste of time that would benefit nobody. Some issues have arisen and we are intent on investigating them so that it doesn't happen again.
