Ah finally some proof of this happening.
However this doesn't work for me.... I've tried it multiple times now in my matches and i personally am not getting this ridiculously over tuned Aim assist.

In situations similar to this, we see an effect of allowing players to adjust their minimum input threshold settings (dead zone) to lower values such as zero. As players approach zero, the amount of random registered input increases depending on the controller's physical state. Because aim-assist is input dependent, the aim-assist tracks with the randomly registered inputs and helps create a perception that it is "strong" or "advanced" by seemingly working without player input.
Place the controller back into the player's control, and the aim-assist operates as expected.
Reminder: We allow players to dial in their minimum input threshold as needed. Some players increase the threshold to account for older, drift-prone controllers, and others decrease to account for a more responsive experience. Adjusting to the extremes can create some unintended experiences given your hardware, but we advise players to experiment and figure out what is best for them.
