So, my game often crashed before it launches and today it kept crashing again and again, so I got fed up and did a "Scan and Repair" on the files, hoping maybe it will get resolved but now a whole new level of issue has surfaced. The scan and repair keeps failing, it shows me this message when I click the update button every time after scanning files. This is getting ridiculous, I can't even play the game anymore... So I paid 60 dollars for a half assed game and now it just telling me "Whoops! something broke can't fix it unless you download and reinstall a 100+ GB game."?? WTF

If this is what I think this is then /u/FoxHoundFPS should have a look.

I and others had this problem before, as shown in this thread: https://old.reddit.com/r/blackopscoldwar/comments/mfbt4z/error_msg_keeps_popping_up_3_times_every_5_min/

From my experience, the only thing you can try is to let battle.net scan the game files for damage. If the same problem pops up again, try the mentioned fixes from the article, or here as a direct link:

If that doesn't work, the only thing you can do is to delete the game and download it again...

Thanks for sharing these resources! Players will need to reach out to both Activision and Blizzard player support for any additional insight into the issue.

I typically see reinstalls as the solution which works as noted by Bunt. (I'd tag you, but I don't want you to get double tagged by the bot.)
