People, including myself, just don't know what the quest involves. It's all a guessing game and even the new 3-part quests don't tell much. The devs do a terrible job of actually explaining things for new players to figure out anything in this game.
Until those people with millions in resources actually go through with all this will anyone else know what to do. Which is an awful game mechanic.
It doesn't make sense for quests and content to be behind a toxic PvP barrier. If it was something like, "kill 50 players to unlock xxxx for the ancient weapon," I'd be cool with that.
I don't fish and I'm not going to bother with the ancient weapon until things calm down. It's just not worth the effort, especially since the base buffs on the weapon don't seem very exciting.
