So for a week straight, in the mornings before my 10 hours shifts, I would grind out armor cores on my twinked out lvl 22-25 priest (courtesy of my lvl 28 archer. Honestly, it's hardly a twink, just a Legendary +0 staff). I have been playing this game religiously for 3 weeks, really enjoying it.
To cut to the chase, I tried my hand at fail stacking. I got my stack up to 15% after many epics turned to legendary WITHOUT embers. Like huh, how unlucky but lucky. Then, I turn to the summoned common enhancer and try the 15% chance on the staff. Fail. Eh, just unlucky I thought. Then I bring out the 20 Legendary embers I purchased just for this very moment. I use 3. Fail again at 23.5% chance and breaks the staff. Hmmm...ok, Legendaries are definitely tricky. Used my green repair kit, and gave another go. I tried 6 embers, meaning I have a 32%. Fail. At this point, I'm just like "Do embers not mean anything?!?!" So I threw the rest of my 11 embers, adding up to a 44.5% chance. Fail. And the break to top it off. I sat there in disbelief, and not having anyone else to tell my story to that would understand, I go Reddit where I have lurked for months. So take this as you will if you are just about to embark on fail stacking yourself. I learned very fast and painfully that this game...is a grind. And I don't think I have the free time to put up with such a harsh reality that should be an escape from my personal reality. I appreciate anyone who have read this far, and thank you guys for all the tips and word of wisdom you have provided on this game. But I think you lost a Pyreborn today...
