I don't agree. When I play an orb priest in dungeons I try to place orbs in the paths of my team so they don't need to go out of their way to get an orb. This means learning the movements of the boss and other enemies. This also means learning the movements of the other classes.

A priest who just stands still dropping orbs in front of them and expecting everyone else to have eyes in the back of their skulls and flit around the battleground grabbing orbs is - quite frankly - trash.

Although the devs designed this role-less system to be a "meet me halfway" thing, I agree you should always do your best to put orbs where they will be most effective. Still, a good priest knows the frustration of watching other classes run away from orbs.

I’ll tell you what... trying to hit a mage with a heal wave is a pain in the ass when they keep blinking around. Lol. If I’m in an easier dungeon and using wolf or crescent for more dps I will tell the group that I’ll be dropping orbs next to me if they need them as I focus on damaging the boss. Difficult dungeons where you use SC you will be dropping judgement, shielding as often as possible and dropping your purple pad. I use placid mages gloves for the 6.3% attack bonus when I shield and the eternity pants for -8.8 second shield cool down. Heal wave is just in case someone is very low on health and isn’t able to regain it back with judgement.

I feel like that's the way to do it. Priests in BU are dps/support, not a healing role. So if you're spending all your time running after people to drop orbs, you're not doing your job as dps

As a Sader, I see both sides of the argument. If you're choosing priest, you should expect to be healing. that's just common knowledge. If im in the face of a boss, I cant be expected to be looking around the field for healing orbs that constantly get dropped next to the priest (who is usually 10 meters away and behind me). Melee classes need an extra helping hand as we are always right in the action and not always eyeing our HP and especially eyeing the surrounding area when the threat is literally on top of you. Throw some orbs where your dungeon mates are. On the other hand, we should all be keeping a watchful eye if we have a healer in the group. Know when to retreat, know where healers are along with the boss, and assess what kind of healer you have (i.e. if it's a dps healer or someone throwing orbs only where they are at, be wary of where to run to, if a dedicated healer, try not to run out of mass heal, etc). Priests should be expected to heal the less attentive inherently, whereas spa should be expected to pay more attention.

I 100% agree. It's a cooperative effort
