External link →I get your concerns. If you don't like non-optable pvp, investing money is a risk. I suggest just playing it free for a while to see if you like it. You can always get a founder's pack later.
My heart will always belong to PVE. PVP just doesn't do it for me. In 11 months, I've been attacked in the open world maybe 5 times. You get killed, its a free trip to the next soul pyre, you keep going on your way. You learn which areas to avoid
