We are sorry that some of you feel that this impacted the game in a negative way and we understand why there is some frustration - we're in the same boat, really.

Let's talk about what happened on Saturday! For ~30 minutes an offer went live which should have never happened. Humans of course make mistakes, but in this case the validation system which checks if offers are "OK" failed and allowed this impossibly good deal. ⬇️ #brawlstars http://pbs.twimg.com/tweet_video_thumb/FJ3thC2XMAA01-d.jpg

How does this impact the game? What took a hit is our monetization, since some players received much more value than originally intended. When it comes to how it affected you, our players: the offer was purchased by <0.25% of our active player base. http://pbs.twimg.com/media/FJ3sQUDXMAAmZU_.png

All progress rolled back means if you got a Legendary in a box, well - it's gone and there's no guarantee it'll drop again. Won a Club League match which got you promoted? Not there anymore. You might also not have time for another match. Bought an in-game purchase?

Why didn't you roll back? It's a question of what is the lesser evil. A rollback would have affected significantly more players (millions) in partially unpredictable ways:

In 1,000 SD matches you play, approximately ~23 out of 9,000 enemies will have purchased that offer. The distribution isn't that simple and it's much less likely that you are affected if you are living in the Americas and more likely that you are affected in Asia or Europe.

That's it from our side! Sorry once again for our mistake, making our players sad obviously wasn't our intention.

What will you do? Our primary objective is to make sure that the content validation of offers works correctly moving forward, even if there's changes on our end in regards to how offers work, i.e. we're fixing the bug in the system.

Well, the money is gone, the content too. You'll have to contact support. The list unfortunately goes on.

@cmc_r3vilo @KairosTime No punishment for anyone. Human errors happen and this one should have been prevented by code which didn't work as expected. 😉 But yes, he wasn't exactly happy with his mistake as you can imagine and he stayed away from social media for exactly this reason.

@ct_xxiv @CoriGG @CoriGG's video is a great (!) example of how to *avoid* getting those 4k damage to the face: She has to charge her Super, in the above example Cori charged the Super the previous KO round, i.e. the team knew he had it at the beginning.

@ct_xxiv @CoriGG They knew it and still chose to all together run through the obvious choke point which is ofc exploitable in this situation. Cori gambled that they would - and succeeded.

@ct_xxiv @CoriGG But: it was avoidable and predictable. Just shows that a.) the players either don't know Mandy (and her abilities) and b.) are below Cori's skill level. Nothing else. A player who didn't expect them to go through the choke point wouldn't have used the Super this way.

@ct_xxiv @CoriGG TL;DR: They got outplayed by someone who understands the game better than them. But it was avoidable. PS: This happens in other games ALL the time. Wallbanging in Counter Strike for example. Not an argument against the mechanic.

The first map I'd like you to vote on is a controversial one, some love it - some seem to hate it. It's excellent to push Tanks and (some) Assassins. Should Cavern Churn stay, or should it leave the pool?

@YaBoiGAK Supercell ID isn't in China (Mainland), as the login method needs to verify the identity of the player due to local legislation, for example to make sure young players don't play more than the laws permit.Players over there login with WeChat/QQ.

@JakeSucky It's a PR stunt on his end, anyway. He's a medium sized creator who weaponized religion for his own advantage but very practically speaking he's a hypocrite who grows his career literally by playing games which are created by a diverse bunch of people.

@JakeSucky You cannot say the stuff he did to look good in the eyes of his audience, and then play games made by the same group of people he just called out. You support them or you don't. Everything else is being a hypocrite.

@JakeSucky In a 2021 study by Ipsos, 20% or respondands did not identify as heterosexual. The number is growing. In creative industries like games this number is likely higher.

@JakeSucky Epic Games (he plays Fortnite) employs ~3,750 people. Even if underindexed but a factor of 4 vs above number, almost 200 people wouldn't identify as Hetero.

@sandeep_ranpara We've tried something very similar a few years ago. Didn't have a positive impact on the game and people complained that they couldn't grind a mode/Brawler. 😉
