@cmc_r3vilo @Dani_Supercell @Paula_Supercell My initial reaction: more rules for "casual" (Trophy) matchmaking will result in longer waiting times for everyone, waiting time is one of the biggest deterrents for retention. Consequently this would be bad for the game, even though I very much empathize.

@cmc_r3vilo @Dani_Supercell @Paula_Supercell This being said, I think incompetent Mortis players in Brawl Ball are just a symptom - not the root cause. Players wouldn't complain if the Mortis would be competent. So how do we solve this? Likely with changes in MM.

Prior to 1996 I didn't have internet. We've played mostly competitive games in LAN, and even in 1996 LAN was a very common way to play multiplayer games (ex. Duke Nukem, Diablo, etc.). Releases before 1996 included Dune 2, Diablo, etc.

@itsthatboi75 Battlefield was always "too far away from the action" for me. Call of Duty was never a thing in Europe in competitive settings. Apex' drove me nuts with their bugs. I usually have high end PCs, but constant micro stutters etc. (known issue back then with 3080's) made it hell.

@itsthatboi75 Valorant turned out to be a toxic place for me, especially since the pairing with players from Russia often meant no voice coms (disabled feature for some regions) which puts you at a real disadvantage. Might be different nowadays, but don't really have that much time.

@Sigmmarr The highest time investment per game in the year. I love single player games, but my record games for SP is XCOM or something with 200+ hrs, while any of those games I played for THOUSANDS of hours. 😅
