@ZainRushdy @Dani_Supercell In today's world teaming in Showdown is a valid strategy to achieve the goal of the mode: to survive and be the last player alive. Teaming isn't an "exploit". Do I personally like it? No. I don't.

@ZainRushdy @Dani_Supercell To continue: if we would agree that it's not OK, we'd need to find in-game measures to counter this behavior or change the rules - but from the player behavior we know a lot of people enjoy playing the mode like it is, for one reason or another.

SD+ cannibalized SD and to a degree other game modes (specifically BB), I assume likely because it was easier to farm trophies fast, not because it did such a great job fighting teaming. It did manage to push teaming up by ~100 Trophies, but it didn't resolve the issue.

Showdown (Solo) + Duels together have a higher playtime than Showdown (Solo) + Showdown+ (Solo). Duels numbers have now stabilized and are good, especially given the fact that it's competing against other modes with active Quests. We're not typically disclosing what actions we took on individual cases, but we do have a series of bans with increasing length depending on your previous history and how serious the offense was.

@Role_BS @VANS_66 @BrawlStars Not a bug. It's an intentional adjustment. As we've said, we're monitoring the distribution of Clubs week over week to make sure there are enough Clubs in each bracket for proper matchmaking, etc.

That isn't profit. To sustain the DAU/MAU you need to re-invest. Many companies invest heavily in marketing in order to acquire new users, looking at variable payback times until profit happens.

In all of this: bonuses are often based on profit sharing. So as long as you don't generate a profit, employees will likely be stuck with their base compensation, company shares aren't worth much if you don't get dividends and you can't sell them.

Managing our in-game economy is a fine balance. Too F2P friendly? Unsustainable. Too harsh economy? Also unsustainable - it's harder to find players who want to stick around (low retention) which leads to higher cost for user acquisition.

@Arturo_BS1 Yeah, sponsorships can offset esports cost - but it's not "free". First, you'll likely need to build a Business Development team of a few people (which has a cost), partners will have needs and conditions (ex. you need to use device X at worlds).

@Sri_Hellfire Server cost varies based on a lot of factors. Some games with high latency tolerance (asymmetrical, turn-based) have a low cost, action games have a high cost. The nominal platform fee for pretty much all marketplaces is 30% - there's some exceptions, but it's still it.

@a_reeb_who_sane The role "Game Lead" is pretty ambiguous at Supercell. Here Game Leads are ultimately responsible for the people in a game team and the game as a whole (and as a business). If that business is dysfunctional, it's my responsibility that we address it. One way or another. 😉
