[2022] cities skylines don't start

Do you see the Paradox Launcher after pressing Play in Steam?

Please try a clean installation of the launcher following the steps in this thread. That should do the trick.

the installation of the launcher did not work, but the workaround did :D:steamhappy:

Any idea about when the issue is fixed?

What was the issue with removing the folders? Could you not find them or did you not have permission to delete them?

In that case I recommend you try the workaround, it should disable the launcher so you can play without having to reinstall the launcher and delete those files. The steps to set it up can be found here:
