Until a sale is announced no one knows when it will be. All official sales (so Steam and Paradox Plaza) get announced on the official social media channels, so you can follow those to make sure you won't miss any.

We usually run a discount on Siege when the new season drops. We haven't announced when that'll be, but it'll be sooner rather than later! :)

You're making a false assumption, that a discount implies a game is finished. Many games have sales during their EA phases (something of which I'm quick to take advantage of).

It promotes the selling on an incomplete product, not good in any way.

If you bought the game in EA - and you did - then you should be well aware of what you're buying - the game as it stands right now with no guarantee that'll it'll ever be i) finished, ii) finished exactly how you like it, or iii) that the Devs don't go out of business the very next day.

If you view Early Access is "selling on an incomplete product" why buy anything in EA at all? Indeed, that being the case, would difference would it's price discount make anyway?

That is, quite literally, one of the main points of Early Access.

Simply putting it up for purchase by a consumer at all 'promotes the selling of an incomplete product'.

Buyers are sufficiently warned about what they're getting into, and have the option not to buy it until it is a complete product; And those who want to support the development and get involved can buy it. Whether or not it goes on sales for 50% off has absolutely no bearing on this except to put the game into someones pocket for less than they would've paid otherwise, just like any other product complete or incomplete as they may be.

Thousands of hours of playtime for $30 or whatever I paid... It was like 7 years ago...
I'm pretty sure I'm the one who got the good end of the deal. Lol

Yes, I paid $20 for the game - it was - shock horror - on sale at the time. I've got just under 6,000 hours played. I definitely got the good end of the deal on that one! Hehe.
