Disclaimer: I did not come up with all of these. This list is a compilation of my ideas as well as highly upvoted r/ClashRoyale posts.
Please upvote for visibility! I believe QoL changes are relatively easy ways to enliven the game compared to releasing another card or game mode. u/Supercell-Seth, u/Supercell_Drew
In the Arena
- Transparent letters and numbers
- Post-match stats (like they've done for CRL)
- Option to make tile outlines slightly bolder
- An indicator of the time left of a spell's duration (e.g., flashing, a timer, etc.)
- Situational troop transparency (makes a Wizard behind a Giant, Battle Ram under a Minion Horde, etc. visible)
- Option to remove the ground shaking effect from cards like Earthquake and Golem
- Casual 1v1
- Mute emotes as a spectator
- Mute spectator count and confetti as the player
- Option for Battle Confirmation
2v2
- 2v2 Ladder
- Eliminate the battle ban when leaving a 2v2 match if your teammate leaves first
- Unlock chests after 2v2 matches before returning to the home screen (lets players play again with their teammate and have a chest unlocking simultaneously)
Standardize Card Stats
- Knockback range (e.g., Fireball knocks back troops 1.8 tiles while Bowler knocks back troops 1 tile)
- Knockback strength (e.g., Log knocks back every ground troop while Bowler does not)
- Slowness (e.g., Snowball slows troops for 2.5 seconds while Ice Golem's frost nova slows troops for 2 seconds)
- Rage (the Rage spell and Lumberjack can yield different spell durations)
- Mass (different troops have different masses)
Either switch to one number value or convert to a short, medium, long or small, medium, large, etc. system (like new melee system) for each.
Clan Wars
- Clan Wars revamp
- Option to set Clan Wars to start automatically once War Day finishes
- View and copy war decks from the clan war tab underneath the "War Day Replay" button
Social
- Active/inactive dots for clan members
- Player search tab
- In-game friend requests
- Private messaging between friends and clan members
- Spectate top ladder players
Trading/Requesting
- Select more than four possible cards to give away when posting a trade
- Show number of cards owned when viewing a trade
- Option to allow only one clan member to accept your trade (eliminates trade sniping)
- Ability to trade emotes
- Declutter trading UI in clan chat
- Have the "Trade Cards" button change colors when a card request is available
- "Max" button when donating cards instead of holding or tapping
- Request maxed cards for star points
Decks/Card Collection
- More battle deck slots
- More emote deck slots
- Ability to name decks
- "Clear Deck" button
- Show the many hidden stats of cards in their profiles
- A descending variant of every card sorting type
- When sorting your card collection, be able to press and hold the button and select your sorting method (this eliminates having to cycle through each one)
- Upgrade cards to the highest possible level given your cards and gold in one click (instead of viewing each level's animation)
Shop
- Rebalance shop prices
- Offer more greetings alongside emotes
- Bring back $3 emote packs
- Allow players to "gift" items to each other
Settings
- Change name color without prefix
- Customize notification settings
- Volume sliders (e.g., master, music, sound effects, etc.)
Miscellaneous
- Replay system revamp
- Training Camp revamp
- "Challenge Tickets" in certain chests (i.e., grants free access to Classic and Grand Challenges)
- Ability to cancel unlocking or queued chests
- Chest log (similar to the battle log)
- Search for leaderboards in different regions (i.e., not just "Global" and "Local")
- More player profile statistics
- Reduce "Tier Unlocked" animation time
- After completion, re-enter special challenges for free without rewards against others who've also completed it
- Bring back Gem Rush along with Gold Rush
- Working cancel button :)
